Top 7 Disruptions of the Year →
I agree with most of the ones listed but augmented reality as one of the top 7? I don’t think it is ready for wide use yet. I’d call it more proof of concept than “disruption.”
Maybe next year.
Doing the Rooney’s thing. Always a good time.

Thanks to that link I now know more than I ever cared to know about the randomly generated text you see in publishing examples and templates.
What is far more interesting to me is how this piece of text managed to to fall from popularity, get shuffled...
Good food, booze and @loadedsanta. Great way to spend the 24th. Hope all is well with you and yours.

A look back at this year’s biggest news stories, from the serious (financial collapse) to the bizarre (balloon boy), paints an interesting picture of what events held our attention in this last year…

Emails with strangers - Looking for apts addition
Stranger: HOPE STILL AVAILABLE BY SUNDAY!
You can never run out of hope, even if you run out of rooms to rent.
I hate Christmas. There. I said it. http://yfrog.com/1yh8pbj
I'm going to watch "Clueless" tonight.
schwenk:
RIP Brittany Murphy.
I hope you’re “Rollin’ With The Homies” in the big, beautiful sky.
Add Brittany Murphy to list of names I only know because they died.

Cute. Honestly though, some of them have it coming. Besides, you know you are going to get punched in the face. It’s like a right of passage for an activist.

Time for a little 3D Avatar. Not to complain right off the bat, but $26 for two people is a bit heavy.
RT @elizabethcannon: Coffee and Grooveshark—great motivators for this Friday morning!

It's Not Like They Are Real People Anyway
I am breaking my own rule, being an active participant in the Tiger Woods conversation, but the blatant sexism at work in this article is staggering:
But it was apparently in Melbourne that the cracks in Woods’ seemingly perfect life began to show. He reportedly brought one of his lovers to town, in the way travellers might include a pack of cards or an iPod in their luggage.
Supposing she is a...
“Cleaning up” your Twitter account = Very few real followers. It’s cool. I’d rather play to a small audience. Of people I like, no less.
The Institute of Medicine says that I need to consume 125 oz of water a day. That’s a more than I thought. A lot more. http://bit.ly/6KvBJH
RT @TechCrunch: Get Ready For The Google Branded Chrome OS Netbook http://bit.ly/6I2ZmY - I like where this is going.

Chrome on Ubuntu is the hotness at the moment. Or maybe its the Google DNS that I am using that is making things feel all snappy.
Alright, a day off. Time to get a coffee buzz and make love to Google Reader.
RT @loadedsanta: Santa speaks every language on Earth. Even binary! For all you virgins.
Server upgrade Sunday! Man I hope this works… Maybe we should institute a ‘patch Tuesday’ at work.

AT&T wants to "educate," charge heavy data users... →
I’d like to educate AT&T on what the industry standard for data use has been for the past 20 years.
You charge less and give more. If you ever have to increase the price on bandwidth usage it means you did something wrong, not your customers.
That being said, if you have an iPhone there are two applications you need to get today: USTREAM (stream video from your phone!) and Dragon...
So, the privacy settings on FaceBook have changed again. Better plug your ears because I feel some crying from the internet coming on.

Evolution of the Hipster →
Some, if not most of these, piss me off. I am partial to a few of them though. The emo redux in particular.
It’s my day off. Time to catch up on Google Reader and consume coffee and media for 2 hours before actually starting my day!

Pee-wee Herman's Comeback Welcomed With Jubilation... →
I love how some of the articles the Atlantic links to paint Pee-wee as some sort of cultural icon we shouldn’t be embarrassed about. It makes me feel better for liking him when I was a kid. They go a bit further than I would care to go, ascribing some status as the ultimate American pluralist and whatnot. I suppose there is an argument to be made about being color blind and accepting of a...
