A day from hell. I swear to God, I am going to capture my inevitable flipping out on camera. And tweet it.

Obama's Dog Pick...Apparently Interesting →
Is there anything this guy can do that won’t generate media attention? Even the first dog has a political agenda. I do appreciate the direction of that agenda, I simply can’t help but look at any new aggregation website and not see Obama’s name less than 15 times. Additionally, until today I had never even heard of a Portuguese water dog.

It’s funny how pro-equality I am until we have a meeting, at which point I become an elitist almost instantly.

WatchWatch
This is a great find. I had never even heard of this video before. An edit for the piece below: The car driven was not a Farrari but rather a Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9. bunnynico: Claude Lelouch - C’etait Un Rendezvous on Vimeo. “On an August morning in 1978, the story goes, French director Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a...

“[A]s the networks increasingly become the domain of the Lord of the Dance,...”
– The Future Is Cheese by Michael Hirschorn This may be why I have becoming increasingly incapable of watching the vast majority of TV programming. Dirty Jobs is still pretty awesome. I guess that is considered reality TV. I digress.

iPhone Developer Post On TechCrunch →
I’m not all that interested in the application the author is talking about, but this article is a great peek into iPhone development. It is nice to see someone with a realistic view of this new application development environment. It looks like feeding time at a fish farm from most vantage points. He touches on the tendency for some developers to push endless updates for no reason to just...

I love receiving the updates from the investments in my 401k. I’m 26. Can I be taken off the mailing list for, say, 15 years?

Watching Obama not misspeak. It’s pretty nice. He certainly is long winded though…

Waking Up With A Downer
Cover via Amazon “In a weird self-referential short-circuit, they were protesting against the very reaction to their protests.” pg75 I am currently working my way through Violence by Slavoj Žižek while downing 400mg of caffeine at my local branch of the coffee empire. They make for a good pairing. In a sort of coffee shop visitation evolution, I have determined that social...

The Singularity Is Closer...
Image via Wikipedia Having read The Singularity Is Near, seeing the announcement of a learning institution based on the core consepts of Zurzwiel’s book pretty much made my day. Reality has set in and there is some legitimate scepticism, but at the end of the day, if I had the time and money you could certianly find me on their campus for the 10 week program. Anyone want to send me out for...

See what people that smoke pot can do? They can be president or the most highly decorated Olympian ever. It’s not the pot that makes you a deadbeat fat ass. It’s you that makes you a deadbeat fat ass. For the record, I hate pot. Guess I’ll never be an Olympian or president… Any famous nerds with slight drinking problems out there?
