Can the Tea Party Have a Lasting Political Impact? - Newsweek.com
I am sorry, you can’t be a relevant grassroots political movement that is anti-establishment if you charge $550 to go to church. That’s not how these things work.
I am convinced that the “tea party” movement will fade as quickly as it came into focus if any one of the very fickle foundations it stands on start to crack. If the economy picks up, this movement is done. Which means, if you are a tea-bagger, you need to pray for rain, which of course doesn’t make you a very good catalyst for positive change. But that’s not what this is all about is it?
