I’m not all that interested in the application the author is talking about, but this article is a great peek into iPhone development. It is nice to see someone with a realistic view of this new application development environment. It looks like feeding time at a fish farm from most vantage points. He touches on the tendency for some developers to push endless updates for no reason to just promote their app, to increasingly annoying habit of copying the latest craze. Lately it has been bodily functions. Which is nice.

Like I said, I don’t think I am the target demographic for the writers program, but I would like to see a space on the iPhone AppStore that would allow for more detailed reviews of applications that aren’t either free or $.99. There are legitimate applications being crushed by some $.99 piece of software that makes noise.

Testing Tumblrette to help speed up posting on the road. Native iPhone clients with good support can have $2 from me any day.
