I guess Safari 4 really is the shit. It was the only browser I currently have installed that passed the Acid3 test without issue (it did score a 99 two out of 5 times) on my computer.

Chrome on the Mac seemed to do a good job except for failing something as simple as a link test. FireFox on the Mac has some work to do, but we all knew that already didn’t we?

I recently deleted my MySpace profile. The interface just drove me out of my mind for the last time. I know every social network needs to advertise to make money, but I simply cannot wrap my head around the fact that people are so willing to put up with the MySpace page layout that the site still remains the best there is to offer. There is something about making the background to a home page an ad that screams ‘decade old web design.’

I did have a few friends on MySpace that don’t subscribe to other sites, but at the price of having to not deal with that damn site, ill keep in touch with them the old fashioned way. I just can’t take one more “identify this ass and win a free iPod” ad.

On a side note, FaceBook has done a relatively good job of advertising by showing you ads that seem relevant. At least, they often seem relevant. The other day, however, it suggested to me that I check out an online meeting place to meet larger women. So, was I wrong about how they advertise, do they know something about me that I don’t, or did the advertising algorithm fail? I don’t have an answer.
