The accuracy of the translation from paper to digital book is astounding. No detail was too small, except for maybe leaving in information that is no longer relevant.

They could replace this with a page that tallies the number of trees that didn’t have to be cut down to make the projected first run of the book…

While we are on the subject, will books go “out of print” when there is practically no cost for keeping the book available in digital form?

This is exactly what I was getting excited about when I first heard about the iPad. I am very happy to see that magazines are moving to the tablet form in such innovative ways. This is the reason I want a tablet computer, regardless of manufacturer.

This photo is multiple kinds of excellent.

I can find a comment to make on just about everything in it. I’d actually like to print it out and write my comments on it. That would be a little too literal for me.

If the index finger gesturing is any indication it looks like Obama would be right at home editing his speeches on an iPad. In fact, I’d like to see an edited version of this photo with an iPad instead of the printed speech.

I had several very memorable professors in college that could turn one of my papers into a Uni-ball advertisement. To that degree this photo is giving me a little post-traumatic stress. If it is possible to have that in a good way, I am.

The Omni Mouth » iPad or Bust!

This is great. I love OmniFocus and I know their software is a big reason project managers have purchased Macs in the past.

The iPad will be successful or forgotten based solely on how developers decide to use it. I am convinced that Apple can do little to really drive the product other than by making it accessible as much as possible to software developers.

Yes. Five. We want to bring all five of our productivity apps to iPad: OmniGraffle, OmniOutliner, OmniPlan, OmniFocus, and OmniGraphSketcher. This is a big undertaking, and we can’t do it all at once. We started working on iPad adaptations of OmniGraffle and OmniFocus as soon as the SDK was made available Wednesday afternoon, and we’re hoping to get started with OmniGraphSketcher for iPad within the next few weeks.
