What is there to not like about this?

This photo is multiple kinds of excellent.
I can find a comment to make on just about everything in it. I’d actually like to print it out and write my comments on it. That would be a little too literal for me.
If the index finger gesturing is any indication it looks like Obama would be right at home editing his speeches on an iPad. In fact, I’d like to see an edited version of this photo with an iPad instead of the printed speech.
I had several very memorable professors in college that could turn one of my papers into a Uni-ball advertisement. To that degree this photo is giving me a little post-traumatic stress. If it is possible to have that in a good way, I am.
The article you linked to about the increase in premiums sited changes from 2002 to 2006. The law (passed under Mitt Romney’s well choreographed ballet as leader of the commonwealth) didn’t take effect until 2006. Since then Mass residents have seen a reduction in the uninsured to less than 5%. While the costs have increased, they are being picked up by the state. There are no cost increase preventions in the Romnicare (like that?) bill, as there are in the Obamacare package.
You can get an abortion funded by the state in Mass though. I am sure that will play out well in a few years.
“The increase [in Massachusetts premiums] is attributed to an increase in charges by physicians and hospitals,’’ Buyse said, referring to a 2008 state report that tracked the trend from 2002 to 2006.
As for more money going to the insurance industry…Well of course the government is going to funnel some dough to them.
The machine needs to be fed.
Admittedly, I liked the idea of the single-payer system more.
A biologist walks into a sushi bar and orders some tuna. What does he get? It really depends. More than half of eateries tested either misrepresented or couldn’t clarify the type of fish they were…
Wow, gross. How could Obama let this happen?!
Maybe he was too busy brushing up on a ‘explaining dialectical materialism to dummies’ primer.
Obama’s school speech extravaganza is coming to a close today. The text is freely available to all. I think some people are upset that it doesn’t call for death panels and the immediate destruction of all unborn children.
Many conservatives have expressed a fear that the address would be used to push a partisan political agenda. In the text of the speech, however, Obama avoids any mention of controversial political initiatives.
Conservatives would be concerned about Obama using school time to push partisan debate, mostly because I am sure that’s exactly what they would have done if given the chance. Not unlike a cheating husband’s jealous rage.
I swear, conservatives just look more and more out of touch with reality every day.
This is icing on the cake for me.
Florida Republican Party Chairman Jim Greer last week accused Obama of trying to “indoctrinate America’s children to his socialist agenda.”
After reading the text, he said, “My kids will be watching the president’s speech, as I hope all kids will.”
