Found this via @bruces. The individual platters on the jar indicate the size of the population in a specific age group in a particular country.

There are some startling visuals to be found there. Egypt with its very large young population and low life expectancy has a cone like design, were as the USA has a large population in the upper middle age section thanks to the baby boomers. Very cool stuff.

I think my girlfriend and my family would disown me if I wore these, but come on. You know you would like to try them. There is more information over on Bruce Sterling’s site (here).

I do like the idea of integrating already widely used devices into a more accessible medium, but I am sure this is going a bit too far for many people. Not me though, I would try these out, with pride.
